EX: After having known Edward for just a few short months, Bella admits that “it would cause [her] physical pain to be separated from him now" (Meyer 283).
Hip hop was used just more than music but "a platform to speak our minds."
To most of these hip hop artists "music is sometimes a medication from reality."
For these Hip hop artists "it's about you and me, connecting one to one."
From a perspective, Hip Hop "created a lot of jobs that otherwise wouldn't exist."
In the early ages of Hip-Hop, some of the artists "spoke about issues in the world" which wasn't widely written about in music.

Summary of Source (Three-Four Sentences of the Who, What, Where, Why, and How in your own words. NO OPINION): s

This book as about the early generations of Hip-Hop and how it all started. It outlined the main parts of the growth of Hip-Hop and its widespread influence around the world. The information in this book dates back to the 1970's to give a wider incite on the origins of Hip-Hop.

Credibility of Source:
Author or Editor: Who is the author? What training have they had? If there is no author, examine the editor.

The author is Jeff Chang and has been a hip-hop journalist for more than a decade and has written for The San Francisco Bay Guardian, The Village Voice, Vibe, The Nation, URB, Rap Pages, Spin, and Mother Jones.
Attachment: Does the author or editor have anything to gain from writing this, or is it simply informative?

This book was solely just for information on the growth of Hip-Hop.

Bias: Do you detect a bias (a favoring of either side) in the author's writing?

The book only has one position and doesn't have a bias.

References: Does the author cite references in the writing? If so, do these add or take away from the credibility?

The author cites references from different books and sources but just adds to the credibility because it further enhances the information.

Use of Source: How will you use this source in your project?

This is a great source for opposing opinion or to back up my view on the issue. Also provides history for the issue.
